The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
